I do not understand Mccain voters. They always scorn Obama, saying his policies are going to destory America and what not, but I find his polices eerily similar to Obamas. Both have a keynesian approach to economics, both support the war(yes Obama does), both are bser’s etc.

McCain had a rather attractive running mate. That would’ve made boring presidential addresses a bit more exciting.
So, if we really have to go down the empire’s Keynesian path ro ruin, then at least with the innocent smile of a mid-age Alaskan beauty, don’t you think?

A friend I knew who worked for the Dems told me that the Republican Party rank-and-file is almost totally Christian evangelicals. McCain is perceived as more pro-Israel/anti-Muslim. They are single-issue dumbasses because, as you note, McCain is a doofus who’s been a tax-eater all his life just like Obama. Intelligent conservatives and working class who don’t have The 700 Club on live feed 24/7 stayed home in disgust, IMO.
The enitre Democrat-Republican thing is mostly a false dichotomy, get used to it.
