I’m working on a paper and would like to review journal articles by Black anarchists. If anyone has names of professors or other noteworthy intellectuals, I would appreciate it.

I respect the idea that your paper may relate to african-american anarchists, but why does race matter? Freedom is colorblind, so how are you less credible to cite someone of another race? I dont know if I’d want to write a paper where I had to cite only native american anarchists in order to make my point (I’m N/A). I do wish I could be helpful though, but unfortunately I cant think of any african-americans who were anarchists *at least famous ones.
You are absolutely right that freedom is colorblind. However, a certain Journal of Black studies is not. My paper has to do with the immorality of the state and I thought that the anarchic point of view might be better supported if a black academic wrote on the subject.

Don’t know of any anarchists but, I would say that Walter Williams and Malcolm Little are both noteworthy. Walter Williams is a black culturally conservative neoclassical economist. He is really good on the issues of multiculturalism and global warming, the two strongest statist ideologies of our time. Malcolm Little (Malcolm X) was a black nationalist who was first, a member of the Nation of Islam, and after been forced out, an ally of the civil rights leaders. He was a proponent of black secession (separation, blacks should control their own politics and business in their neighbourhoods) , armed self-defense, and conservative social values (Muslim). He was strongly opposed to affirmative action (forced integration), pacifism (especially Martin Luther King’s advocacy of non-violence and “turning the other cheek”), welfare (because of the culturally corrupting effects), foreign intervention, and the Federal Government.
