I happen to be a big fan of the new layout, but I’ve noticed a few glitches (that may or may not have existed before):
Using Opera, line breaks in the WYSIWYG editor don’t insert a line break in the final post. You have to add them manually using HTML. In addition, the entire “edit bar”(with the Bold, Italic, Underline, Create List, etc. options) isn’t there.
Using any browser, long user names are cut off when viewing a user search.
Using Firefox on Vista, sometimes replying to a thread results in a browser crash. This never happened in the old layout, but I also reinstalled the .NET Framework 3.5, so it may be related to that. The post still goes through.
I don’t think it’s Microsoft-related just because it has a similar button…
Anyways, the edit bar appears in Firefox, but not in Opera. Firefox crashes every time you use “quick reply” on Windows (luckily, the post still goes through). EDIT: Apparently it crashes on Linux too.
I’ll download that, but I still think that the malformed javascript needs to be fixed. Not all firefox users know about (or want to use) beta software.
Did any of the underlying code change during the visual update?
I am not sure if this is related to the forum or not, but I tried lookin at a thread and when I hit back it brought up an error screen that said “Oops. An unexpected error has occured” It then asked if I wanted to be notified of when it was fixed. I closed the window and opened it back up 5 minutes later and it was fine but it happened twice today. I dont know if it was just me who has had this issue or if anyone else has.
