Well, the 15 hours worth of material has been described as a “basis for a grand treatise.” Perhaps it is not one yet, but hopefully sometime in the future. I am also curious if some of Rothbard`s students (Block, Hoppe) will develop a treatise in the tradition of HA or MES. I hope something along those lines will be released. Any thoughts?
Hoppe’s other books seem to be just loose collections of articles, so it will be interesting to see him write a treatise. I wonder if I should hold off writing my critiques of his theories of epistemology and ethics until its published, but that might be a while. We could use some more info on this.
When Gary Schlaubaum introduced the award after his own name to Hoppe in 2006 he made reference to the fact that Hoppe is working on a “grand treatise on austrian economics and libertarianism”. I think I remember that rightly; go and watch the video,
Well, it seems like I don’t know anymore than what you know. There has been talk of this for some years, and certainly Hoppe’s lecture series seems to map out a book. I don’t know what kind of progress is being made on it or how much of a priority it is. I’ve not seen any sections of it or anything like that. So sorry I can’t be of more help! My guess is that the suspense will be over in 10 years or so!
Pretty much what I thought when I discovered the concept. Information here: http://agorism.info
It’s primarily a strategy toward market anarchy, but of course one doesn’t have to be a market anarchist to participate. Common ground with a broad range of ideologies is one of the primary advantages of the concept.
