I am just wondering whether any of you know about any interesting upcoming works. I am pretty sure that I heard some people mention that Hoppe is writing a treatise that his lecture series “Economics, Society and History” mirrors and that Salerno and Klein are writing a treatise that their lecture series “The Fundamentals of Economic Analysis: A Causal-Realist Approach” mirrors. Are those claims true? Does any one know about any others? Et cetera.
I think I remember Salerno claiming something like that on past Mises University. So I can - under a certain qualifier - confirm that there will be a book coming out, talking about economic analysis.
I wanted to ask if anyone knew of any good works regarding the 1973 Oil embargo and OPEC. I’m trying to learn more about its role in propping up the dollar reserve standard, and about the phenomenon of “petrodollar warfare”. The development of this line of thought beyond “the war is about oil” and tying it to recent foreign policy would be beneficial to our non-interventionist argument. I’d be interested in hearing any insights folks have on this subject.

Yeah, Hoppe’s got a treatise based on that lecture series, and Salerno and Klein are writing a price theory textbook (sort of like Kirzner’s Market Theory and the Price System).
I know Long is working on a book on Aristotle.
According to his faculty page, Block’s “forthcoming books include Legalize Blackmail; Philosophy of Law; Austrian Economics; Private Property Rights; Free Market Environmentalism; Judaism, Economics and Politics; Building Blocks of Liberty, and The Economics of Discrimination” and his “forthcoming edited books include The Problem With Social Costs: Coase, Pigou and the Austrian School; and Libertarian Autobiographies.”
Gordon supposedly has a project on “the 100 most important books on liberty.”
Tom DiLorenzo is working on L*eviathan in One Lesson…*its supposed to be an Economics in One Lesson-esque take on the state apparatus. I’m excited for it.
