Official Mad Men Season 4 Thread

A thread for people that want to talk about the show.

So far the season has been pretty interesting. Def starting to enter “groovy 60s” territory.

Watching the latest episode now. I thought it was neat how they finally brought up the impact the SG’s report on smoking impacted marketing for their biggest client (Lucky Strike).

This episode is also making me wonder if Peggy is going to…explore her sexuality.

I just watched the first season. They mentioned Ayn Rand a few times.

Yah, I thought that was a sign they would actually have “her” on the show.

Spoiler

So far they have not. :frowning:

Which is too bad. I’m not an Objectivist or anything, but I thought it would be interesting.

I haven’t started the show yet, but it is somewhere on my netflix queue. I have heard good things about. Does it switch time eras every season, and is there a noticable political “lean” on the show? Not that I care too much about political leans if something is done well (hell, I love some of the USSR propaganda films), just curious. Either way it looks like one of the better shows out there.

best show on television.

Speaking of recent tv shows and Ayn Rand, on last week’s White Collar, Atlas Shrugged was mentioned.

Pretty good episode tonight. mostly continued to keep existing story archs on a slow simmer.

but i get the feeling that peggy is on the verge of leaving SCDP. anyone else feel that?

looks like ken is comming back too. i’m glad, but i actually liked kinsey better. i hope we get to see him at least during ken’s wedding.
