Out of curiosity, what is the AE (and everyone here's) position on the State of Israel and the US relation to it?

I’m just saying. You guys have a lot in common with communists. Which is weird. Because you’re like…totally opposed to communism.

Actually Jacob you’re the fully irrational collectivist here =]

Just sayin’

I’m not a collectivist at all. I just…I don’t see how your system is going to work any better than communism would/does. It’s totally unrealistic. I mean..at least enough people wanted communism to give it a try, who’s trying anarchy?

despite all your tough macho talk, when was the last time you coerced anyone?

my parents never directly coerced anyone, even if they were ignorant enough to vote, coercion isnt a mode of being they embrace
my friends too, most people dont realise that they state they support is coercion. they just dont think about it.

if they did think about it they would be anarchist.

we are here to help them think about it.

What do you mean ? You believe in nonsense like “proudly serving my country” - you can’t get any more collectivistic than that. And you’re partial to the state of israel because you consider yourself a member of the Jewish ‘race’ or nation or something like that. Sheer collectivism.

Lol. Jesus. Alright. Well, I don’t want to be a part of this anarchist thing at all, you guys can have fun philosophizing this stuff forever, not many are going to vote for it.

I’m thinking about it, I don’t feel coerced into supporting the military. I totally support it voluntarily.

I dunno when the last time I “coerced” someone was. Probably last week. You don’t have to be macho to get people to do what you want them to do by the way.

you were violent to them or threatened them with violence?

Just a threat. My friends came over and left beer cans everywhere and I told them to clean it up and I kinda…insinuated that if they didn’t we would have a problem. And they cleaned it up right away. No worries, no hard feelings.

Of course you don’t, you don’t believe in morality. Those who do tend to have a problem with waving guns in people’s faces to get their money, to spend on more guns, to go to other places and wave guns in people’s faces there, to get them to stop bitching at this impeccable logic: Germans killed a lot of Jews, so we’re taking you out of your homes and giving them to Jews - you go find some new country. They also tend to object to attempts to justify this behavior by pointing to how much better Judaism is than Islam.

Sure, morality tells you what is and is not moral to do. But you’re the only one on here insisting that someone thinks that calling an action immoral stops it from happening. You’ve said a lot with your first sentence here, though.

Well, the fact that socialists don’t understand economics doesn’t mean libertarians are as clueless as socialists.

You must have heard this before…

(1)
If the majority of humans have criminal tendencies, then setting up a government in order to check those tendencies is nonsense - do you see this ? If power corrupts, then the idea of centralizing power in order to deal with corruption is PRETTY STUPID, is it not ?

So, unless you want to choose a stupid solution, and you wouldn’t, since you say you value reason, you should realize that monopolistic government is not an option. The only other option then is to realize that individuals, not governments, are sovereign and that it’s possible for individuals to deal with each other in purely voluntary terms. And if a few individuals don’t accept voluntary relations, i.e. are criminals, that’s no big problem because ‘private’ providers of defense will deal with them.

On the other hand, if the majority of people are wannabe criminals…goto point (1).

did you insinuate you were going to hurt them physically, or withdraw affection, or did you just demonstrate that they had hurt you , or something else?

Work? What do you mean by work?

Let’s see, the current U.S. system has the highest per capita incarceration system, incarcerating people for all kinds of victimless actions. I mean, shouldn’t the purpose of law be restitution? Not only does the U.S. system incarcerate people for victimless crimes, it incarcerates people for victimizing crimes, where it should be trying to get restitution for the victims instead. The U.S. system also makes entry into the market by new people extremely difficult with all of the regulations and licensing laws. It also has granted a monopoly for printing money to the Federal Reserve, to freely spend all the money it wants to. I cannot buy a car without a bumper. I have to strap my daughter into a car-seat until she is 9 or something. I cannot smoke marijuana. I cannot drive without wearing a seat-belt. I cannot buy un-processed milk. I am forced to pay for old people’s health insurance, even if they can afford it themselves and they have far more wealth than I do. I cannot buy drugs from Canada. I cannot go to an unlicensed doctor. I cannot refuse to help fund the U.S. government to kill people or keep goods from people.

What is so great about this system again?

Great. I will forward my tax bill to you, ok?

LOL do it, I won’t pay it though. That’s your problem. Very jewy of you though, good job.

If you hate it so much, why haven’t you left yet?? Start the damn anarchy region, I’m rooting for you bro.

What the hell does that mean?

I don’t see why not. You want a band of armed thugs, I don’t. You have no issue paying for it, I do. Why do you want me to pay my share rather than you, who enjoys paying for it, doing it for me? It seems you don’t actually volunteer to support this band of armed parasites - you volunteer to do so conditional on everyone else paying too, otherwise it just wouldn’t be big enough to do the things you want it to do.

Lol, I was like…“I’ll throw you down some stairs, clean up your mess!” I don’t know if I would have really thrown them down my stairs though. But they seemed to believe I would. Sometimes a threat of violence is just as effective as violence itself.

I am planning on moving to New Hampshire in a few years if I can convince my wife it is worth it.

And I am not so much about getting rid of government as getting government to leave me alone.
