Peter Schiff is a neo-con?

It’s also common knowledge that the earth was only a few thousand years old, that the planet is warming, and the earth is flat. I like to deal in facts, not mass stupidity. Appeals to populism are pointless.

The FBI claimed not to have enough to charge him. I’m just making the point, you assume a lot. Even more than the FBI apparently.

He initially did not claim responsibility, and the 9/11 Commission has determined that the attacks were planned in Germany and the US. If attacking an embassy and a ship (the Cole) are terrorist acts, then every military serviceman is a civilian, because terrorism is not activity against a state or military, it is politically motivated violence against individuals. Besides, we all know Bin Laden by this standard was a terrorist, the US used him in this role against the Soviets.

Again, we loved him being a terrorist in Afghanistan when the terrorism [sic] was against our enemies. Apparently what is good for the goose, is not good for the gander…

Right, neither of which is a terrorist act by the definition of the word. If we’re engaging in newspeak, then it is. Anytime anyone stands up to the state, that is terrorism by this definition. George Washington was a terrorist!

And again, the US supported him in this role, in Afghanistan, when it suited their purposes.

In the west, we also believe in nuking civilians, systemic torture via black site prisons and carpet bombing cities. I wouldn’t appeal to western morality with a straight face.

Again, WE, the WEST, AMERICANS, NATO encouraged them in this behaviour. We funded and trained them. No one in the west gives a damn about Sharia law, this is strictly about control of resources in a race with China and India, and an excuse to pump up the war machine spending to serve special interests like GE and other multi-nationals.

the blame game that needs to stop is in the heads of some people posting in this forum, this thread explicitly. until they advocate peace - i think they incline to be violent. so actually it doesn’t even matter for me about americans or terrorists. it’s those posting in this forum that advocate any form of violence from their armchair that are not putting their foot down and standing for peace. that’s who i am talking about. as if from their armchair they know what the hell is happening in their own backyard at times let alone Afghanistan

I don’t understand why that’s the standard line- that its the palestinians who provoke israel and then israel is simply retaliating. The palestinians are occupied- caged in, and subject to Israeli violence all the time thats never reported(because who cares about subhumans like them). But I’m sure im not going to convince you of that- seems like you already made up your mind. I don’t condone attacks against israeli civlians at all- but its pretty easy to see who has the big guns and who’s major arsenal involves throwing rocks from the ground.

Not saying that you’re accusing me of it- but just so you know, I don’t care that Israel is made up of jews. I care that the Israeli military- one of the most powerful in the world, has a large kill count.

What! They treated them like human beings? Say it ain’t so. Paragons of justice they are.

Man palestinians put up with the IDF everyday at checkpoints, or trying to go about their daily lives- but they never know when they’ll be beaten, arrested, or shot for no good reason. Hell they can be sitting around in their dark dirty homes until some missles or a bulldozer flattens it.

Have you never found the anti-iranian rhetoric from members of the Israeli government to ever be disturbing and troublesome where they CONSTANTLY threaten to invade and bomb Iran? Ahmadinejad is no good just like any other politician- but I don’t see why everyone makes him out to be more scary than the rest of the lawmakers.

Because who is the United States to come into someone else’s house and ask them what they have or don’t have. They should mind their own business for once. For how many more decades does Iran have to deal with US interference in their country? Besides once you let the US in- there’s no limit to what they can do. Do you really think they’ll just place nice?

I didn’t accuse you of anything. You announced you once tried to be a tax eater. I am happy you did not succeed, just as I will be happy if Peter Schiff goes back to his private practice.

well i see none of that actually happening at the moment except perpetual warfare. as obama orders, i can’t remember the exact number of troops, 10,000’s of more troops to find Waldo

(Where’s Waldo?)

that’s no excuse for you to initiate coercion against me. you’re not special

Alright, this is going in a silly direction.

I’m Pro-Schiff and I hope he gets the Republican nomination so he can run against Dodd. I think he can beat him.

I’m fairly certain that Schiff is no neo-con. I understand that to radical libertarians, ANYONE who says anything other than “we should just leave them alone” with regards to foreign policy is a neo-con, so I don’t expect that to change anytime soon, lol.

Anyways, I don’t even live in Connecticut so my support is irrelevant, I just think he’d be a great senator and I hope he wins.

No one’s talking about attacking you, Wilderness. Simmer down now.

I don’t recall announcing that. That is an accusation by you. If you think of it as trying to be a tax eater, you are sorely lacking in understanding.

you advocate a government. you say you are a neo-con. yes you advocate initiated coercion. you are on a lesser intellectual footing due to this and have no room to talk.

Yes I do advocate a government. Which you’ve equivocated with me wanting to attack you. Not my fault.

Also, I don’t remember saying I was a neo-con, I just agree with some of the things they said. I thought I was already on a lesser intellectual footing because I’m not an anarchist? Have I been demoted again?

You wrote,

Seems like you announced it.

I did not accuse you of anything you did not announce yourself. If you feel otherwise, source my statement.

Politicians are criminals and tax eaters. That’s a fairly uncontroversial Rothbardian-Rockwellian analysis. There is no such thing as the noble thief and regulator.

Not your fault for advocating a government, ie. having somebody arbritrary point a gun at me. that’s why whatever you say will be a contradiction. so it’s not a simple matter of mistrust, ie. dishonesty, but thereby confusion you spread.

I think we all need to sit down and have a nice listen to Pink Floyd’s “Us and Them” before continuing discussion. I see a lot of methodological errors here in the way people are approaching the subject. There is no simple “we” and “them”. There are behaviors which are similar and so warrant classification; to that extent and ONLY to that extent are group entities “real”. But when someone talks about Iranians, Pakistanis, Americans, etc. they need to keep in mind the very real danger of generalization and the kind of foolishness that results from it. 100,000 civilians don’t deserve death merely for being in a belligerent government’s territorial outline. Goodness gracious!

Well…that was prosaic. Well done.

That being said, neocons are almost always not only pro-war, but pro-welfarism also. Peter Schiff def. has more sense than to be totally statist and interventionist. I wish him well. But I wish the government he may soon be a part of nothing less than absolute nonviolent dissolution of activities due to bankruptcy, both economic and moral.

When you say it’s not your fault for advocating government that is confusing. those of contradiction usually don’t get it and revert to animalistic comments. speak with intellect.

I’m gonna go revert to animalism and work out and then get something to eat. I’ll talk to you guys later.
