- Rights are imaginary

I agree with this guy. Rights are made up.

And caring is overrated.

Insofar as being a human created concept, yes.

I hardly see how this is really profound; is this going to turn into YANRT (Yet Another Natural Rights Thread)?

its comedy.

Indeed, I regret not viewing the video earlier. The joke was lost on me :\

The names we give colors are also made up. I learn to associate a certain color with the word blue, you learn to associate it with the word red. We both see the same color. Rights are just the word we as humans give to the idea that we as humans deserve 100% of the results of our efforts. Who cares if we call this rights or if we call it Mugubu’s. Mugubu’s exist just as colors do, all of our words are made up. Just like dogs sniff each others butt’s as means of communication, humans use words as a means of communication. Rights are the name of an Idea, Slavery, and Taxation, are the names of Ideas. The logic that tells us that everything we talk about is nothing more than our imaginations running wild, also tells us that nothing is real and we should all commit suicide, because after all this world is just imaginary.

Rights exist just as colors exist, we can show this empirically through our own social relations. Every human understands the concept of respect. Humans fear power, they respect innovation, voluntary cooperation, and most things that don’t involve forcing them to conform. Tell a man he can not eat apples or you will kill him, then give him nothing but an apple tree with ripe apples on it. Hmmmm seems to me like he has a right to eat those apples, so long as he can pick them.

Ideas are just ideas. They don’t exist, and even if they did, they’d still contradict each other.

Colors don’t exist.

Well, great, ideas don’t exist. You are arguing the idea that ideas don’t exist. Congrats. Do you think there’s any point in saying anything at all then ?

Damn your artificial constructs! There’s just a singular blob called the universe.

Existence doesn’t exist.

You are all figments of my imagination. Poof I imagine you no more. [;)]
