In the month of January my favorite cable chanel (Turner Classic Movies) is having a theme for the month, Hollywood in the 30-50’s and the portrayal of communism in Soviet Russia, should be interesting.

One of the films playing will be the "Mission to Moscow: which is a must see 1940 (?) American war propaganda film glorifing the USSR and Stalin. It openly promotes communism, thinks of Stalin as a pretty cool dude, and was made to get America into WWII. It was eventually blacklisted film in Hollywood. If you can get by the fact that the things it glorifies has led to uncountable atrocities, it is a pretty damn funny film.
