While I know for a 99.999% FACT some press is bought off by special interests and intentionaly biased (mostly my local news channels/papers), for some reason it is almost insanley impossable to convince people. Does anyone have any relativly hard evidence for the MSM TV stations (Fox, MSNBC, CNN, etc) or major news papers (NYT) being intentially biased/ unfair? I know this seems like an obvious question of “just watch/read the paper” . But what I am asking about is something along the lines of more concrete evidence of motivation behind the people in charge for a blatent biased.
Sounds crazy, but im not really convinced that newspapers and the media are that biased. Sure the editorial page of newspapers major and local, are horrifying, but the media is very capitalist, competitive, and promotes the market. Of course the big writers and editors will have a statist bias, but thats simply because most people who come from higher education (bachelors of arts- Masters at eastern ivy league) are indoctrinated to love the government, and distrust the market.
That very well may be true. But I think when it comes to FOX, MSNBC, and maybe the NYT almost seem like parodys of a biased media most of the time. The others, if a biased exists I think is more subtle. Like I said before (I really can’t go in detail about it), I am absolutly certain at least 2 major media outlets from my hometown are corrupted by special interests.

I always kind of wonderd if fox news is comicaly conservative, or if it really is balanced to the right the way CNN is balanced to the left. Maybe I was just so used to seeing media from that fox seems to have an extreme right wing bias? I think some conservatives/liberals love to toss the word libertarian around in news to make them seem “more objective” (think Bill Maher/ Larry Elder of the top of my head).
