I play Eve Online because it’s fairly open and I can do whatever the F I want.

I am fond of the old, old, OLD, eq world where things back then were generally more open in that fassion. I still miss it. Truth is I love fantasy over sci-fi. Since then I’ve tried everything else and have been left either with a state of nastalgia or bordom.

Eve is great but its not a game I can play every single day, or week even.

My question to you is, what mmorpg do you play and why.

P.S. I’m not interested in Wow. It feels too adolescent to me and leaves me often with just a nostalgic EQ Classic feeling.

Kingdom of Loathing, although I play in a clan of just myself. Why do I play it? Because of the snarky humor and fun.

I play EQ on private servers… there’s a Project EQ: The Grand Creation server with 300+ people on at all times. Its really great. They’re trying to recreate eqlive and are up to PoP expansion.

There’s also a server called project 99 trying to recreate EQ classic. Both servers are basically perfect.

I played Ultima Online back before they ruined it.

Currently, yes. I held off ascending after Thanskgiving for the Crimbo season. Now I’ll ascend and probably be some other class. I think that will be my 52nd ascention.

I’d prefer it if they didn’t go past Luclin. =p How ec-classic like is it? POP was really a crappy expansion, the first downhill part for me in eq.

Yeah it does change things a lot… faction no longer matters. Like I said, you can play on project 99 or The Grand Creation.

People like project99 a lot but if you can complete all the content in a couple of months its not worth playing :stuck_out_tongue:
