Think how much more $500,000 would do for LvMI, say the academy and the only means worth pursuing to attain freedom i.e. public education, than Schiff getting to be the Ron Paul of the Senate.

I don’t know. Ron Paul’s campaign really helped spread the word of liberty. I think donating to Schiff’s campaign is worthy only because it may help get out the message of AE and draw more people to this website.

I say donate to both fronts. Per person its not much. Uncertainty is always a factor, so you do both; you give money to Schiff and hedge your bets by helping things like the Mises academy.

Though I wish Schiff the best, I have to point out the error in your thinking here. Why would you donate, say, $50 to Schiff and $50 to LvMI when you could donate $100 to LvMI? Donating to LvMI is riskless and at least the LvMI is focused on longterm education, whereas Schiff is just focused on winning the primaries and then the election. Honestly, I doubt that a Senator Schiff could do much good and I doubt that he’ll win the Republican primaries.

I think a better way of helping Peter Schiff is to volunteer for his campaign. Anyone can make calls to voters via his website SchiffForSenate.com.

I’m a big fan of Schiff and I’m probably going to donate some money to him and I hope he wins.
