I get the one on the left because socialism is based on a sort of forceful participation of wealth redistribution. And I at least understand the conception that capitalism is bad for the poor, but how is it anything like having a gun held to your head? In the minds of anti-capitalists anyway . . .

Capitalism is bad for the poor? As opposed to them getting everything from actions taken in the left picture?
In their minds, they probably think that wealthy individuals are forcing them to work for goods instead of letting them take what doesn’t belong to them. My guess - right before the picture on the right was drawn, the blue guy was trying to steal the red guy’s property.
The picture on the right was drawn during Blue’s prison sentence (for theft of property).
I understand why people think that. No redistribution=vicious cycle of poverty makes sense at first glance. I don’t believe it.
