Debating between Cabernet wine, Gentleman Jack, or Templton Rye, also neat. Knob Creek, while good, is a bit too rough around the edges for me to buy whole bottles of (though it is a good bar drink). I went with Gin martinees yesterday, that went down quite well in this hot and awful weather.

Straight edge forever for me. Both sides of my family have an extremely long history of having serious problems with alcohol.

lol, I lied, my friend called me out to me him at the bar instead, which means it was Pabst/Bud beer, far from classy. I did manage to sneak in a chilled glass of ouzo though.
Also, a good after meal dessert or a brunch drink, get a glass of cognac to go with your pie / coffe; that’s been my “thing” for the past month or so.
@ Joe: I’ve had Woodford maybe 4 times in my life, while I don’t remember the taste off hand, I remember it beig quite good.
Bought a small bottle of I.W. Harper at the convenience store, drank it while walking around the city, and before I knew it it was gone (and more or less so was I). I love how drinking in public is not illegal here.
Didn’t you say you were in Japan? That is certainly a plus on living there, if that is the case. By the way, Japan makes some great (and affordable) scotch.
