Will you answer all your Census questions?

Re: 2010 American Census

Will you be leaving out answers to any questions? I’d like to know what your plans are.

That was a great video. Very inspiring. Title 13, Chatpter 7 of the US code says that no person shall be compelled to disclose religious beliefs or religious membership. There is a $100 fine for refusing to answer census questions and a $500 fine for lying. It seems one would be better off not answering… It is interesting to note that until 1976 one could spend a year in jail for lying on the census.

I personally will answer what the ages and genders are of the people residing at my household. I will also furnish any non-monetary information about my house.

Anything else, I’d rather pay the $100 penalty. There is no reason to collect more information, in my mind, than to further the penetration of government and big business into our lives.

I will answer only the first question (the only one permitted to be asked by the Constitution) about number of persons residing at my address. I believe I will write ‘none of your business’ on the remaining questions.

Thanks for your replies
