Though I am currently researching, I do not know a lot about telecom. So what exactly is this exclusive digital broadcasting decree they are doing in Feb 09. This sounds like a plan to control the entire media by government( as if they don’t already).

This just scares the crap out of me. Is the State going to eliminate analog broadcasting so no information is leaked that they can not control, and how exactly would they do this. And do you think this is a response to XM and Sirius trying to merge

This just gives me an erie feeling. Anybody else, or am I just getting too paranoid.

They’re simply changing the broadcast encoding from analog to digital, it’s not some power swoop. The FCC already controlled analog signals. And they’re auctioning the bandwidth IIRC.Though it is a steaming pile of BS if you ask me, all anyone gets out of it are government subsidized converter boxes, it probably got passed as a rider same as the REAL ID. More trivial crap. Proper theives dont take superflousy.
