Join the military service. It’s a good chance to get in shape. Even if you don’t do anything after basic training, you’ll probably have access to some kind of work-out facilities.

Depends. Are you working for the state? If you are, the civilian service is contrary. If you aren’t, it is not contrary.

I’ve basically blown my best opportunity to get out now, and evading is not really an option. I’d be spending the next decade being incarcerated while trying to prove to mildly annoyed courts that “male-only service” and “men and women are equal” doesn’t really fit together at all and is therefore immoral in every respect.

Anti-state institutions like MS-13 encourage their members to get taxpayer-funded military training. No reason libertarians shouldn’t as well.

On a more positive note, I’ve spotted a civic service job that would entrust me with cleaning up and keeping an eye on some local forest. Isn’t that greenie? Being in the great outdoors all day just like in the military, but without the combat aspect.

Try work in a Library, do nothing & read Austrian Economics books all day. Do something where there is basically no work, listen to Mises.org lectures all day. Do they check up on you at all? Like can you say you’ll do the service, then slack off and not go etc. Bribe the guy who has to say you are working? Give him all your pay ($3/hr) and you get off scott free? Come on THINK.

You said 5 years. But really, what would prison be like? Is there a concientious objector prison? Minimal security? You could start an Austrian Economics study group [:D]
