I got a join up letter today from the NRA. How do they have a database of gun owners? I expect it from the government even though they claim to erase the record after 30 days. The NRA? I think they have somehow tracked some of my purchases. Anybody else in the U.S. get one of these letters?

Most likely, they get the information through a public database of firearms licensees. I’m not sure if it’s still so, but the list of concealed weapon licensees was public here in Texas.

I received the same letter. However, I don’t think they picked me from a database of gun owners, but rather from some sort of political affiliation mailing list (maybe sourced from a donation I made, or something along those lines). I’ve been receiving other libertarian-oriented mailings, suddenly, too.
I got the same letter. I suspect my name was sold to them by the Libertarian Party, as that is the only political mailing list I was part of.
Yeah I get crap from all of em. Ried, Ensign, Heller, whoever you name it I get it. I always reply with how much of my money did this letter cost you. Haven’t been answered back yet. What did you think of the survey. It seems those answers could be used against you if you answer wrong.
Makes sense, but I don’t need a license here. Just have to pass a quick NICS, and out the door I go with my new gun. Haven’t bought one in over a year by law ROFL I have been erased from the background check database. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
