From skimming this article (http://online.barrons.com/article/SB50001424053111903904904577615361581700788.html?mod=googlenews_barrons) I am to understand that the GOP is looking to a VAT. My question is why the heck almost all Republicans focus so much on cutting taxes before actually cutting expenses? In this regard, Ron Paul stands far apart from them. He always talks spending cuts. His tax plan is a natural follow-up to the spending cut - just bring those taxes down. People don’t realize that if we have tax cuts without spending cuts it’s just gonna go to the deficit and the interest thereof.
Fascinating. There might, of course, be some room for a few traffic lights, but I’m glad that other alternatives are being considered. And if the roads were private, we’d be seeing a lot more innovation.
I would swear Wenzel posted on this kind of thing before. Actually, he did less than a month ago…and that’s not even the one I was thinking about. Neither is this one from four years ago.
