Was Howard Stern a Libertarian?

He ran for governor of New York on the libertarian ticket in `94. That’s about all I know.

i’ve hear him talk about politics…if he is, he doesn’t know what limited gov. means…

I think it’s people like him and Timothy McVeigh who give libertarians a bad rap.

Was McVeigh a Libertarian? Libertarians don’t believe in aggression unless for self defense.

According to his autobiography, Stern ran on the Libertarian ticket to get two things done - (re)establish the the death penalty and force roadwork on high ways to be done at night/non-peak times. Once those two issues were settled, he intended to step down, allowing his Libertarian Lt. Gov to take over. The party was happy to have him, as they gained a very popular candidate with an actual shot at getting elected.

Doesn’t sound like Stern even remotely knows what libertarianism is.

McVeigh was a neo-Nazi but it went unmentioned in the media so that he could be more easily conflated with the patriot movement.
