What kind of music do Misenians listen to?

I mainly listen to true metal. Not the bull**** metal like thrash. Pantera, Metallica, Anthrax, ect. I listen to Norwegian Black Metal, Doom Metal, and Folk Metal. I like bands like Agalloch, Candlemass, Emperor, Immortal, Ulver, Burzum, Warning, Fen, Windir, Wintersun, Elvenking, Katatonia…

currently listening to the new Katatonia album, its amazing.

I also like Stoner Rock, and prog.

Frank Black FTW!

why is thrash bs? if you dont like it, thats ok, but it has a place of unchallenged authenticity. i dont like saxon, does that mean its not real.

anyway, i listen to jazz, metal, modern-creative, classical, folk

I listen to mosly house and hip hop.

Classical anyone?

Led Zeppelin.

And sometimes Lil Wayne.

heres the list. i would add soft machine, winds and norwegian post-black avant garde to that.

Dude, Kreator is totally real.

Kreator is also more Industrial Metal/Death.

My bad, I was thinking about Kovenant, which seems similar.

They were a thrash band that were key in the development of death metal. They didn’t pick up any industrial metal elements until 1992 with Renewal. And only recently they’ve picked up In Flames-styled melo-death. Pleasure to Kill is pure thrash.

I don’t really like the majority of death metal either, except for melodic death and melo-death.

i think listening metal is a mark of an intellect. i mean the first posts already mention these bands. my library is pretty pimped out though, right?

All I’m saying is that Kreator is thrash metal. And awesome.

I’m real eclectic. Jazz, Funk, Black Metal, Death Metal, Punk, No Wave, Progressive Rock, etc. etc.

Bossa Nova?

You know I gotta rock Stan Getz.

Why is it a mark of an intellect?

Unfortunetly, I never find anyone outside forums like metal-archives or actual musicians that I know who like REAL METAL. Real Metal being anything not Generic Nu-Metal or Metalcore.

I also listen to some electronic music, industrial, jazz, classical, shoegaze, psychedelic rock. I like old retro-industrial a lot more then the new stuff. I like old-industrial sounding bands like Skinny Puppy and Throbbing Gristle.

im talking about real metal, not papa roach. i can bet anyone that listens to cynic or fleurety is a bright fella

More people need to like this band, no lie.

I like the band “Muse” a lot, but my taste is quite varied. Here’s my last.fm: http://www.lastfm.se/user/arvinja/ it’s not really that correct, since there was a time gap of over a year when I didn’t scrobble anything.
